Oh the Places We'll Go

This heat is killing us! It's soooo hot when we get home from work that we've been big slugs and haven't done anything remotely productive.

We kneel on the couch looking out the window asking each other what we want to do.

RJ: Should we mow the lawn?
Charise: Should, but no...

Charise: Wanna go for a hike?
RJ: Physically? Yes. Mentally? No....

RJ: Bike ride?
Charise: "Do you want me to barf all over you?"

This resulted in us watching a PBS program on "Voices of the Ocean". It was about whales.
I think I fell asleep after 15 minutes. Okay it was an hour... It actually was kind of interesting.

haha.

We've been so lame and I can't wait until I feel less exhausted all the time. I'm motivated to workout again, but now the heat is getting to us. I'm going to take up aerobics in my nice air conditioned house. I'll make RJ do it too. Although I don't think I would be able to stop laughing long enough to get anything done.

Tonight, we're going outside and doing a rain dance :)

Morning Everyone!
I stole this idea from the cutest blog ever- check it out here.

I thought it was an adorable way to document every week and even though I can hardly say that I have a bump yet, RJ is out of his mind excited to start documenting so here goes.
Excuse my puffy tiny eyes... it was early- and taken on RJ's phone.

How far along? 11 weeks today
Total weight gain/loss: I haven't noticed any weight gain yet besides just fluctuating by day. This is what I'm most terrified for though. In January, I'll at least be in the 150's. I might have a stroke.
Maternity clothes? None yet, but I have been scouting long shirts and dresses that would work when the belly is huge.
Stretch marks? Not yet!
Sleep: A freight train can't keep me from sleeping, but I do get up around 4 to pee.
Best moment this week: Telling our family on Father's Day.
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? Every Monday night we watch Bachelor and usually accompany it with red wine. Well Bachelorette is now in full swing, but I have yet to have wine. Am I bummed? YES!
Movement: Not yet... I'm not sure when that will happen, but I am stoked for when it does.
Food cravings: Nothing yet, still in the "all food tastes like dirt" phase.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Sweets & home cooked chicken.
Have you started to show yet: I don't think so. It just looks like I pounded 4 sodas & a McDonald's Combo Meal. It's sexy I tell ya.
Gender prediction: I have no idea. RJ is gunning for boy.. But girl accessories are just plain adorable.
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In- but I have a surface lurker to begin with so I'm sure it's just a matter of time.
Wedding rings on or off? On- good think it's too big already! I'm going to need the extra room.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Excited! But if you wake me from a nap-- I am a bear.
Looking forward to: Getting a bigger bump!

A Little Pink Plus Sign

So we just can't hold it in any longer.
We're going to have a baby!

We're so excited and can't wait- January is going to take so long to get here!

I wrote a post about it when I found out.

Joining the Mom Club- Complete With A Nasty Hair Bun
Holy #^$*

I cannot adequately explain how I feel right now.
Surprised
Excited
Terrified
Emotional
Happy
Motivated

Well I'm here to say... We're going to have a baby.

I'm so excited I couldn't even get ready this morning. Hence the bun. :) I promise I took eight thousand more pictures of me smiling like a bafoon but I was shaking so badly that I couldn't hold the camera very good so they didn't turn out.

RJ and I are so grateful for this and so excited for it too. We're hoping all is well and we'll have a healthy crying, pooping, mouth to feed in 9 months. :)

I really can't say I've felt any differently, besides knee issues which is probably because I haven't bought new running shoes in like 3 years. The other other thing is girlfriend has been EMOTIONAL!

So crazy emotional! I have been up and down and up and down again. It terrified RJ.

For example, RJ took me to lunch last week and we had such a good lunch and we were being a cute married couple, and then the car ride back, a switch turned and I was picking the biggest fight of our lives. Luckily RJ is level-headed and kept that one at bay. I did apologize later. I know I'm being a nut!

Other than that, life has been like normal. I did get nauseous when RJ showed me this gooey sore on his stomach, but I don't count that because it was disgusting and anyone would have gagged.

Anyway, I'm off to take another pregnancy test just to be safe. :D

April & May

Starting where I left off here is what we've been up to since about our anniversary.

RJ surprised me with a sweet treat. He was up in Layton so he stopped at the Sweet Tooth Fairy and got me a cupcake. Red Velvet- my weakness.

For Cindy Mom's birthday we got her the cutest bag from Coach so we made our way up to Park City and went to the Coach Outlet. While we were there we stopped and ate at our favorite chinese place up there, Schezwan.  This is RJ's happy grin because he has just been well fed.

We went to Moab with my sister, her roommate and our cousin and had a great time. I love hiking and being able to see so many beautiful places. It was such a fun trip.

This is my darling little Schnitzel cuddling with me after RJ left for work on one of the Saturdays. He doesn't like her to sleep with us so she sneaks in when he leaves. I love it. She looks so content and happy. :)

We had to deal with a raccoon problem in our nice little surburban neighborhood. We lost 2 of our chickens but luckily still have one. We caught it the 3rd night that it came and this was the little bugger. So cute, yet so mean. Our dogs were even scared to go too close.

Lastly, we sent this to my mom on Mother's Day because we weren't able to make it up to Idaho to see her. We missed her a lot but that's how life goes sometimes. They came down this past weekend instead.

Anyway, that's up to Mother's Day! I will update again soon. I need to be better at taking pictures of things we do. :)

"For you wake one day, look around and say, somebody wonderful married me"
-Fred Ebb

Yesterday was our two year anniversary. It was a great day. I love spending time with RJ no matter what we're doing. We had a really low key weekend, we lounged around and layed outside.

On Saturday night we went to Red Lobster since we got a gift card for Christmas and still hadn't used it. This was the only picture I got that turned out. Ignore my weird lazy eye. I have learned to embrace it.

After that we went home and watched American Pie 2. Very adult of us I know. We laughed like high schoolers and felt like idiots but it was a good time.

The next morning we woke up and made breakfast and ate it out on the porch. It was a beautiful morning and it was so relaxing to eat breakfast and watch the dogs play and get to spend the morning with RJ.

We also took the dogs down to the lake by our house and let them swim a little since it was so nice outside.

In the evening we watched a movie and went up to RJ's parent's house to hang out and eat dinner. It was a really nice weekend, I couldn't have asked for better even though we didn't do anything too fancy. We don't want to outdo ourselves on anniversarys obviously :)

I think the best part about being married to RJ is that we are both so low mainenance. We like to do fun things and go new places, but we can do those anytime. We don't need our anniversary to prove that we love each other. RJ shows me that he loves me everyday which makes it okay to do something relaxed on our actual anniversary.

It could just be the newlywed-ness talking but I still just like hanging out with him and doing anything. I don't need anything elaborate to have a good time with him. We can do anything and I still have a good time.

I am very thankful that I married RJ and I couldn't have asked for anyone better. We have such great talks and fights and good times that I can't imagine myself anywhere else.

I feel very blessed to be RJ's wife and I can't wait to spend many more anniversarys with him.
