"For you wake one day, look around and say, somebody wonderful married me"
-Fred Ebb
Yesterday was our two year anniversary. It was a great day. I love spending time with RJ no matter what we're doing. We had a really low key weekend, we lounged around and layed outside.
On Saturday night we went to Red Lobster since we got a gift card for Christmas and still hadn't used it. This was the only picture I got that turned out. Ignore my weird lazy eye. I have learned to embrace it.
After that we went home and watched American Pie 2. Very adult of us I know. We laughed like high schoolers and felt like idiots but it was a good time.
The next morning we woke up and made breakfast and ate it out on the porch. It was a beautiful morning and it was so relaxing to eat breakfast and watch the dogs play and get to spend the morning with RJ.
We also took the dogs down to the lake by our house and let them swim a little since it was so nice outside.
In the evening we watched a movie and went up to RJ's parent's house to hang out and eat dinner. It was a really nice weekend, I couldn't have asked for better even though we didn't do anything too fancy. We don't want to outdo ourselves on anniversarys obviously :)
I think the best part about being married to RJ is that we are both so low mainenance. We like to do fun things and go new places, but we can do those anytime. We don't need our anniversary to prove that we love each other. RJ shows me that he loves me everyday which makes it okay to do something relaxed on our actual anniversary.
It could just be the newlywed-ness talking but I still just like hanging out with him and doing anything. I don't need anything elaborate to have a good time with him. We can do anything and I still have a good time.
I am very thankful that I married RJ and I couldn't have asked for anyone better. We have such great talks and fights and good times that I can't imagine myself anywhere else.
I feel very blessed to be RJ's wife and I can't wait to spend many more anniversarys with him.
