It's a Girl Thing

I LOVE looking at jewelry online. I am such a girlie girl and I love pretty necklaces and earrings and rings. I already have a gorgeous matching pearl necklace and pearl earrings and add to the list my beautiful wedding ring, but for some reason... I just can't stop looking. :) 

Sooo.. today I came across this:

And I'm in love.

The gem stone is Peridot. It is actually August's birthstone. But beside the fact that it is August's birthstone I read up on the history of it. The ancient egyptians often wore Peridot. It is found in meteorites that fall to earth. But my favorite part about it is that pirates loved finding this jewel because they believed that it fought off fear and evil and when it is set in gold that it fights off nightmares.

It is said to bring peace and stress relief to the person wearing it and also deflects negativity.

I want this little thing so bad. Isn't it gorgeous?!
